UBConnect has been an important partner in the first phase of 5G development for Telenor. Now they have entered into a new agreement for further development of 5G in 2023 and 2024 in new areas of Norway. With this new agreement, UBConnect is one of Telenor's largest partners in 5G development in Norway.
During 2023 and 2024, UBConnect will expand and upgrade a significant number of new 5G base stations for Telenor in Akershus, Vestfold, Buskerud, Aust- and Vest-Agder and in Sør- and Nord-Trøndelag.
Ambitious 5G plans
Telenor has very ambitious 5G plans for the next few years, with the goal of delivering 5G networks to the entire country by 2024. UBConnect will build a third of their new 5G base stations in 2023 and 2024 and in doing so establish themselves as one of Telenor's largest partners in 5G development.

Leading 5G developer
UBConnect has been an important partner during Telenor's 4G development in Norway and in the first phase of the 5G development since 2020. This renewed agreement between the two companies is part of a larger framework agreement for the expansion and development of Telenor's mobile network (RAN - Radio Access Network).
Lasse B. Bjørgan, CEO of UBConnect, states the following regarding the conclusion of the new agreement:
