Telenor Norge AS and UBConnect AS have entered into a new framework agreement within the development of mobile networks (RAN – Radio Access Network). The framework agreement applies for the next three years (2021 – 2023) with a possible extension of up to 2 years. The contract will cover large parts of Norway.

‒ This is a new and important step in UBConnect’s development as a company. From 2012, UBConnect has developed into becoming a leading contractor in Norway in the development of mobile networks. We also have ambitions to enter international markets in the coming years and be a leader in 5G development in the markets in which we operate, says Lasse B. Bjørgan, CEO of UBConnect.

‒ Telenor is the leading mobile operator in the Norwegian market, and our mobile network was recently named the fastest and the one that covers the most people in Norway. Therefore, Telenor is dependent on expanding the network according to customers’ requirements and expectations. In the next few years, Telenor will develop a nationwide network and a good collaboration with the contractor is critical for success. UBConnect was an important partner for expanding the 4G network, and I am confident that UBConnect is a good partner for expanding the 5G network as well, says Ingeborg Øfsthus, Technology Director at Telenor Norway.

UBConnect is a leading contractor in the planning and development of mobile networks. UBConnect has built and upgraded more than 3,000 base stations for 4G and 5G in the last 5 years for telecom, electrical and construction.
